Nice, yeah the POF show always has some good heritage flights with all the sweet warbirds around.

So the lineup for Planes of Fame was to be F-35, P-38, P-51, P-51 (Epic right?). That went on as planned for the practice show and photo flights on Friday.

Saturday (first show day) the P-38 had a cowling issue and didn't fly for the Heritage Flight so it was F-35 and P-51 x2.

The Sunday Heritage flight was different as well. Thankfully they resolved the P-38's issues Saturday night, so it was back. Instead of the two P-51's, Steve Hinton flew the F-86 instead, which is just about my all-time favorite so that was perfectly okay with me!

Shortly after they took off it began to rain. That plus a heritage flight is a new one for me! Certainly made for interesting results.

Reminds me of this Canadian heritage flight from 2009!

This is actually the 4th FW anniversary flight, the heritage flight was between the P-51, A-10, and F-22. Great pics though, where did you take them? It looks like you're on the opposite side of the runway as the display area
