Hello everyone,

This post is in dedication to the once great Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show which was also known as the Shell Air and Sea Show, the McDonald's Air and Sea Show, and The Greatest Show above the earth!

The Air and Sea Show hosted by the city of Fort Lauderdale was held from 1995 to 2007. It was known for hosting some of the biggest names in the airshow business but in it's prime years it was able to get every Air Force, Navy, and Marine demo available. To add to the array of military flyovers and performances from all 5 branches of the U.S. Military. The Air and Sea Show was also in association with Fleet Week which provided not only ships to the show but also aircraft to participate in demo's or flyovers.

Since the show's departure from Fort Lauderdale, there has been several attempts on bringing the show back. In 2011 the city of Fort Lauderdale awarded a well known airshow promoter the rights to host the event. It's return in 2012 was short lived when South Florida was crushed with thunderstorms. The show returned in 2013 but did not live to it's glory days as due to military sequestration the show was only able to feature civilian performers. The show did not make another comeback until the 2016 airshow season when they were able to feature the USAF Thunderbirds, CAF Snowbirds, The Breitling Jet Team and some of the best jet demo's around. Unfortunately the show failed to deliver due to many circumstances. The show would return the next few years to only get lousier and upset the South Florida community.

In late 2016 it was announced that the original promoter of the Air and Sea show, Mickey Markoff would be returning to South Florida and bringing his magical show back! This time the show would be held in Miami Beach during Memorial Day weekend and would be strictly promoted as an all military airshow and a dedication to service men and women. In the inaugural show of the 2017 Miami Beach Air and Sea Show, the show would go on to feature 8 demos and an array of flyovers from all five branches of the US Military. Due to the show's quick success a sequel would be produced and again feature a rare display of military airpower.

The show will be returning to Miami Beach again next summer 2019 and is expected to be bigger and better! Please enjoy the pictures of the previous shows.

Thank you.

The 2003 addition of the show would be co-headlined by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds. The show would also feature top military demos and civilian performers.
