No, fair enough, and I completely get it. I debated posting it here, and I certainly have refrained from spreading it outside of this group.

I don't think people understand the danger it represents, which is sad.

Good find! It's nowhere on the PG's front page and not on their Facebook page. The 171st and 193rd don't have anything about it either! Crazy!

EDIT: Important to note the flyover has been changed to TUESDAY MAY 19TH. It was originally scheduled for tomorrow.

That's drone footage.
I saw it just a few minutes after it got posted last night, and I'm going to remove the link in your post just because I think the people re-posting it on their Youtubes and pages (not you!) are trying to capitalize on the footage while hiding behind 'posting it to raise awareness'. For those who haven't seen it, some asshole basically put his drone right into the path of the jets as they went over downtown Detroit. They miss it by MAYBE a couple hundred feet and probably much less. He was kind enough to post the footage on Facebook (even directly on the Blue Angels' wall!) bragging about how his drone almost got taken out.

The video is infuriating and the attitude of the person who filmed it is disgusting. He says it's the Blue Angels fault that they got too close to his drone (which he was flying illegally). That so easily could have killed a whole bunch of people and he just thinks it makes him awesome. I know for a fact that the team is aware of it, and it has been reported to the FAA by many different people. I hope he ends up in jail.
I bet the FBI is getting aquainted with that asshole right now, at least, I hope they are!

The Photography sites I follow are stating the FAA has already been notified and they're chasing him down.

I'm 99% sure that he's going to be losing that drone.
