Missed this one, but apparently the flyover at Tyndall featured an F-22 which subsequently crashed. Sounds like the pilot got out ok but let's hope everyone on the ground is alright

Edit - per the article linked below (Thanks!) it sounds like the events are unrelated, however the flyovers have been cancelled

Not saying it didn't happen, but I'm not finding anything about it on some of the larger Florida news station websites.

EDIT: Looks like it was not related to the flyover per this article. https://www.wwlp.com/news/f-22-performi ... orce-base/

Video from the Thunderbirds today. I've heard many comments from people on the ground that the team was well off of their publicized route in LA. Almost everything they've released is from San Diego so I wonder how screwed up LA got.

Watch to the end for a special Super Delta tribute to Maj. Stephen "Cajun" Del Bagno! That was awesome to catch.

Follow up to my previous post, here's video of a VERY scary close call over LA. Looks like #1 started to roll out and didn't call it. Great job by everyone to avoid a mid-air. Look at how #3 dodges but stays close enough to not interfere with #6, who totally clears the area anyway. I wonder if this played into any off-route flying. I would think they'd be able to correct especially how they reform almost immediately

Yikes. I wonder if that was a result of a last minute ATC instruction to deconflict from traffic. There's also some pretty sketchy VFR corridors around there, plenty of small aircraft traffic in areas where they're not quite supposed to be.

Glad it didn't result in a paint swap
