To share this pic we cant describe what happened today. Our thoughts and prayers are with Canadian Forces Snowbirds and their families. We watched them fly in Kamloops yesterday and have some pics, i will share them later. the plane had 2 people in it, and there has been one fatality, was said to be a female, so i know who that is. prayers, no one injured on the ground, i have friends that live a block away, they said it was just nuts.

Unfortunately, the news we were fearing
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that one member of the CF Snowbirds team has died and one has sustained serious injuries. We can confirm that we have contacted all primary family members of those involved. More information will be communicated in the near future.
Thoughts and prayers to the family of the team member and the whole Snowbirds team.

Blue skies Captain Casey. The team did a lot of good to lift spirits during the pandemic (as have all of the military in the US/Canada). Such a tragic day.
“Today, the #RCAF has suffered another tragic loss of a dedicated member of the RCAF team and #CFSnowbirds. We grieve alongside Jenn’s family, friends and colleagues and are deeply saddened. Our thoughts also go out to the loved ones of Captain Richard MacDougall. We hope for a swift recovery from his injuries.”
- Lieutenant General Al Meinzinger, Commander Royal Canadian Air Force

Just in absolute grief here.

I just ask we don't share crash pictures and remember Captain Jenn for who and what she was - a truly wonderful, kind, gifted and giving human being:

ImageRest in Power, Captain Jenn Casey
Impressions of a Pilot

Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;

To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;

To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;

Then back to earth at the end of a day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.

Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;

Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;

For each of us is created to die,
And within me I know,
I was born to fly.

This photo was taken by my mother in law this evening in front the Royal Columbian Hospital here in New Westminster, BC where every evening at 7:00 there is a salute to the health care workers. Today was a little different.
