We are looking forward to a great show next weekend, May 29 & 30. There are still a limited number of tickets available at Shop n Save stores. We had planned to open the gates at 11am but because the show begins at noon, we will open them at 10am.

In the comments they mention that parking is "the old runway."
I really hope they will be moving the show line as well because if not, the action is going to be really far away.

Oof, yeah that does not sound enticing one bit. It will be hard to have the show line parallel to the old runway without getting too close to the terminal.Imladris18 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 8:04 pm In the comments they mention that parking is "the old runway."

When they announced it I though Latrobe was the perfect place for a drive-in as the ramp is so wide but also shallow. Lots of front row seats and no one too far back. It'd be a shame if they don't use that to their benefit.

If you made me guess, I'd bet they simply move show center a few thousand feet to the right down 6/24. As Ryan mentioned, I don't see them flying the show parallel to the old runway as it would take them directly over the terminal and close to the tower.
For anybody coming for practice I wouldn't suggest trying it on airport property. It was always accepted until about 4-5 years ago, but since then they patrol the passenger parking lot and ask anyone loitering or setting up chairs to leave. Your best bet is probably the business complex at the Route 30 and 981 intersection. Ironically, if they move show center to the right this will actually be a much better spot than usual to view the practice.

The airshow flying will take place over the tree line for all fast movers. We will be moving the aerobatics and warbird demos a little further north so that it is centered better on the drive-in location. The showline will be over the Runway 06/24 environment.

Any update on statics? Button on website isn’t clickable at least on mobile. I figure there won’t be with a drive in but I just saw the post from January about a future update on static additions.
