My only question is.. how can they effectively pull off an all-female performer line-up?

Oregon International Air Show Announces Drive-In Format for McMinnville Show!
MCMINNVILLE, OREGON (May 4, 2021) – The Oregon International Air Show confirmed today that the 2021 air show scheduled for the McMinnville Airport will be held as planned July 30 – August 1, however the show announced that the event will be held with a Drive-in/Tailgate format. This change was necessitated due to COVID-related social distancing restrictions still in place for the state of Oregon.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team will headline this year’s event. This will be the Thunderbirds first Oregon appearance in nine years.
The Drive-in/Tailgate format has become a very popular option that other air shows around the country have successfully implemented over the past year to allow shows to safely move forward during the pandemic. At the McMinnville show, guests will have a choice of a spacious 20’ x 25’ or 20’ x 20’ personal viewing space on the show grounds in which they will park their vehicle and watch the show from beside their vehicle. The show is also allowing guests to bring their own food, beverages, and coolers to this year’s show to hold their own private tailgate party right in their personal viewing area. Of course, chairs, blankets, tables, and small umbrellas all will be permitted at this year’s show. Currently the show is not planning on having vendors or concessions available at the show.
“The Oregon International Air Show has always prided itself on putting on a safe, fun, outdoor family event — and 2021 will be no different! The new layout plans will not affect the breathtakingly exciting performances by the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, F-22 Raptor Demo Team or other military and civilian performers!,” said Bill Braack, president of the Oregon International Air Show.
Also new this year, Friday’s show will be a daytime show and will not include fireworks but will include the Thunderbirds, the F-22 and other performers. Historically, the Friday shows have been held in the evening with an abbreviated flying schedule that did not include the military jet team.
Oregon’s Premier Drive-In Air Show & Tailgate Party will take up a lot of space so the number of tickets will be limited. Each row of parking will be limited to approximately 200 tickets. Guests only need one ticket per vehicle because that ticket will cover all the occupants in their vehicle. For this reason, show organizers expect the Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows to sell out.
Patrons who had previously purchased tickets to this year’s show in McMinnville, can exchange their tickets or request a refund by emailing [email protected].
