Gowen Thunder has been postponed, due to current and anticipated COVID-19 restrictions regarding large crowds. It says postponed, but not sure if it will be rescheduled this year being it was scheduled in late August.
In case you haven’t heard, Gowen Thunder 2021, the Idaho National Guard's Open House event, has been postponed. The event was originally scheduled for Aug. 27-29 and will be rescheduled in the future. The event is postponed due to current and anticipated COVID-19 restrictions regarding large crowds. I'm probably predicting they'll pivot plans to next year, a few U.S Air Force bases have done so, like Joint Base Lewis–McChord, Seymour-Johnson, and likely Gowen Field as of now, since the Air Force's 75th Anniversary is next year, its likely the cause of why many Air Force Bases are moving their shows to next year. That, and many occur in the even years (2018, 2020, 2020, etc..)
