Scott "Scooter" Yoak and his P-51D Mustang 'Quicksilver' coming to Geneseo this July.
A Mustang touching down in its natural environment....a grass runway.

July is always an exciting month to fly in during the season. The second weekend is the Greatest Show on Turf/Thunder in the Cornfield/one of my favorite shows to fly at, Geneseo NY. Excited to return there again this year! #p51 #mustang #mustangsofinstagram #avgeek #instagramaviation #horsepower #flying #awesome #history

The Museums latest news letter still has this show as tentative
National Warplane Museum - Geneseo Airshow
A big part is the gov't and whether A) they allow the event and B) if the limitations placed upon our operation of an airshow in Geneseo make it not viable.

Just heard today that the 2021 airshow is a go.
In 2019, my plane was just a static display.
It's gonna fly in the show this year.

:( So much of what Geneseo is involves being up close with the pilots and aircraft.

MASKS
Masks are no longer required at outdoor venues IF YOU HAVE BEEN VACCINATED, otherwise masks are still recommended outside of your private viewing area. We respectfully request you follow these guidelines for the safety of others when visiting the restrooms, food vendors, or the Museum or the Museum Gift shop in Swanson Hall.

VIEWING SPACES- LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE
Spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis according to your ticket color, i.e. Red for showline; BLUE for the middle viewing area; and GREEN or TEAL for Handicapped or oversize vehicles (Over 84” tall and less than 20’ in length).

You only need ONE PASS per vehicle. Your ticket buys the space where you park your vehicle and watch the airshow. If you want to park beside friends, please be in line with them when you arrive at the Airshow grounds.

NO OVERNIGHT PARKING

PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN LEAVING THE AIRSHOW.

CAMPING ON THE GROUNDS-LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Self-contained camping is available in a specified area on the grounds beginning at 4:00 pm Friday through 4:00 pm Sunday. The area is away from the normal drive-in viewing area, but still has a great view of the Airshow.

Given that NYS relaxed their event restrictions several weeks ago I'm not sure why they can't get their permit updated to reflect the current guidelines and host a "normal" show. I cannot justify spending $150 to drive myself into a spot behind the VIP line and miss out on the best and most important part of Geneseo...interacting with the pilots (many of whom I talk to every year) and seeing the performing aircraft up close.
