Bad News: USAF C-17 Globemaster III demo cancelled due to significant increase in overseas operations.
Good News: RCAF CC-150 Polaris & CF-18 Hornet Air-to-Air refueling demo added to Friday & Sunday schedules.
PERFORMER SCHEDULE UPDATE!
Unfortunately due to a significant increase in overseas operations, the USAF C-17 Globemaster III has been forced to withdraw from our event. As a result, we will be adding the CC-150 Polaris & CF-18 Hornet Air-to-Air refueling demo to our Friday & Sunday Schedules!

It's Airshow weekend....sadly rain is a guarantee. If we want to end the drought we just need to have the Abbotsford Airshow every weekend.
There's the old story that when deciding when to hold the Abbotsford Airshow, the organizers looked at the almanac to choose the weekend with the best historical weather. Maybe they should have chosen the weekend with the worst weather, as both were bound to revert to the mean, haha.
Thanks AirshowHawk.
Does anyone have any more information on practice flights (and estimated times?) by any of the performers on Thursday? I know it won't be the usual arrival day, given no statics and the unique situation of all U.S. aircraft staging from nearby airfields. But do you think the U.S. assets like the F-22 will still arrive (at least from the air) for a practice show on Thursday?

Roadblocks to clear for the show box on Thursday will be between 3pm - 9pm so expect that to be a generic window for any practices.
The Snowbirds are expected to depart Moose Jaw at 10 AM and the flight will be trackable through Flight Tracking apps. Keeping weather and other factors in mind, both the CF-18 demo team and Snowbirds should be arriving between 11am - 1pm.

I'm only going to be able to catch the Sunday show, what's everyone else doing?
I typically book all three days depending on work but this year is very different with the restricted format and pricing. I am booked for Friday but will be watching the two Saturday shows with family at a friends farm located close to the action. Since alcohol and food options are prohibited/unavailable on show grounds I’ll be using Saturday day to indulge in beer and BBQing. Unfortunately work will have me occupied Sunday. Weather will be pretty sketchy over the weekend but for the most part it seems to be compliant.
