If so, does anyone know if they will be practicing during the morning time slot as if they were in the show, or will it be later in the day? I saw the time slots for both the morning and afternoon practice sessions tomorrow, but just didn't know how true to the show scheduled it would be.
The teams typically practice at the same time they will fly, so I expect the A-10 and Blues to fly in the morning and the F-35 and Tbirds to fly in the afternoon. The afternoon session is longer so other stuff like the Growlers and A400 may practice then (if they practice).
I plan on going to the grass field off of Tyler Road tommorow. I come from the north so usually take ecorse down. How early do I have to come before they close down ecorse?
Road closures are tied to the TFR so 10am should be the first closure. You can always take US12 around to the west side of the airport instead and avoid the closure.

A few updates here…

There’s one of two surprises already on site at Willow Run - Tom Reilly’s ‘Killer B’ 8-) the second one I will keep secret.

Two more unfortunate mechanical drops, Betty’s Dream and Berlin Express won’t be making it.

Looking like 14 possibly 15 B-25’s this weekend.

Hey Ryan - Do you know if this grassy area off Tyler Road will be open or closed for show day on Saturday? My plans fell through to attend both Saturday and Sunday so I was just going to watch the show from Ecourse on Saturday, but wondering if Tyler Road would be an option also. Appreciate you sharing all this info!

Not sure, if it is open Friday I imagine it will be Saturday and Sunday also but I have never tried. I think there is a lot more interest in watching from off site this year due to the steep pricing so I think any spot that is open will get pretty crowded. The good news is you should be able to use the west side of the airport to move between Tyler and Ecorse

Just drove by Ecorse, the side road looks completely blocked off unless I’m missing something? Currently sitting in the Tyler grass but the wind isn’t favoring landings overhead at the moment.

I'm in the grass field, rocking my Heart Camera Planes shirt with my scanner on a speaker. Say hi if you see me!

Well that’s concerning. I was planning on Ecourse for tomorrow. Driving up from Ohio tonight.

Good points. I was figuring the same as far as being crowded. I will probably do Ecourse but knowing that is another option is good…especially if they did close off Ecourse.
