Straight from the Edmonton Airshow Website:

(Edmonton, Alberta, May 28, 2021) – While bouyed by the recent announcement of the “Open for Summer” plan, the Edmonton Airshow remains cautiously optimistic on hosting an event in 2021. Those dates would be 20-22 August, 2021.

Scheduled performers are:

Civilian:

JacquieB, Vampire Demo, Brent Handy, Yellow Thunder, local pilot Bill Carter, Kyle Fowler, and others TBA.

Military:

RCAF CF-18 demo team, USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II demo, USN EA-18G Growler electronic warfare demo, USAF HU-1 Huey SAR demo, ANG KC-135 aerial refueling demo with TBA fighters in tow, ANG UH-60 Blackhawk, ANG EC-130J, and flyovers from the USAF B52, & USAF B-1B “Bone”. Other flyovers, statics, and performers will be announced when confirmed.

Wow. They'll have seriously stepped it up from past Edmonton airshows (to my knowledge) if even half of those military acts come through.

The airshow is expecting an approval or rejection of the possible show this week. There is a lot to figure out with this one given the distance from the border. Fingers crossed that they can make this show happen! The show has gone through a lot over the last few years and this lineup would be pretty outstanding if they can pull it off!

Just took a look at their site. I can't believe with just 5 weeks to go they don't know if there will be an event or not. Can't say that seems promising.

From the Website:
Our planned go/no-go date is Tuesday, 20 July. We are monitoring last minute issues, including the smoke forecast. As many know, 2018 saw smoke levels this large.

Civilian:

Yellow Thunder, local pilot Bill Carter, Kyle Fowler, Mrazek Airshows.

Military:

RCAF CF-18 demo team, USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II demo, USN EA-18G Growler electronic warfare demo, USAF HU-1 Huey SAR demo, ANG KC-135 aerial refueling demo with TBA fighters in tow, ANG UH-60 Blackhawk, ANG EC-130J, and flyovers from the USAF B52, & USAF B-1B “Bone”. Other flyovers, statics, and performers will be announced when confirmed. All acts subject to operational duties that would supersede an appearance at the Airshow.
So a few adjustments to the Civilian lineup. This article below seems promising as well, stating that the show will happen and that the B-52 will be a highlight. No mention of the B-1B, but the EA-18G demo wasn't mentioned either.
