That explains some things. I didn't think the Melbourne airport would be having any more airshows. The Air & Space Show was held here for the last few years, then it moved to Sanford, FL as the Space & Air Show. Last week, or the week before, while bored during another worthless meeting, I saw a Blue Angel do 1 pass over the Melbourne Airport, then come back and land. I was wondering why since I didn't think there would be any more airshows here.

I hope they can get a USAF demo team here, particularly the A-10, since I'll be seeing the others at different shows. Worst case, I park in my usual spot outside the airport and watch the Blue Angels.

Just checked and the one-day pass General Admission tickets are $50 each. That's a bit higher than what I'm used to, but given the current lineup, I'm inclined to go anyway. The website does state that there's a limited number of GA tickets available each day. I'm assuming that is due to COVID protocols.

No matter what, I'll be out by the airport on Friday for practice and whatever day I don't go in.

Contemplating a trip to Florida. How are the statics at this show?

This is the first time this group is putting on a show in Melbourne. Previously, shows here were pretty light on statics, maybe a helo from the USAF 920th Rescue Squadron plus a few others. I believe this year the Valiant Air Command from Titusville (up the road a bit, but not far) will be supporting the show with statics. Probably the C-47 Tico Belle and some other warbirds (TBM Avenger, hopefully).

Unless the show posts otherwise, I don't expect too many military statics. I hope to be proven otherwise.
