I believe they travel to the US to train in the spring, which obviously isn't really viable these days. They do say they plan to return in 2022.
Interestingly, the CF-18 team leaked their schedule tonight which suggests they are moving ahead with plans for a season. I guess it is easier to isolate one pilot and some mechanics vs. a dozen jumpers crammed in the back of a Skyvan!
The Canadian Armed Forces has cancelled the 2021 SkyHawks season as a result of public health and other considerations related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
If safe to do so, the SkyHawks will look to resume parachute performances in 2022. It will be a landmark year as we celebrate 50 years of performances. We look forward to rekindling our strong relationship with event organizers and the Canadian public. #skyhawkscanada
