First airshow of the year, hopefully. I've seen the B-2 once before, but it would be awesome to see it again. Good lineup so far.

Does anybody know the orientation of the show, which direction the crowd faces? I ask, because looking at the picture they have showing the box seats, those are facing directly into the sun, at least at the time the picture was taken. Can't say I'm interested in going blind during an air show...

The crowd faces Southwest. In the attached picture shows the crowd seating in red. The Blue line is the flight line during performances. The planes takeoff on the biggest runway on the West side of the base. It's not a great setup. The last time, 2018, they did have some good statics, including a B-52, C-5, C-17, C-130, UAVs, a couple USMC vehicles.
Edit: the list of expected statics is quite long. The list does include a B-1, which would be really cool to see up close. https://www.tampabayairfest.com/displays/

That's what I was thinking, looking at the maps and the pictures, didn't see how it would be any other way. That being a 6-hour trip for me, I think I'll have to pass.
I looked up the sun position on suncalc.org, and it is pretty much directly ahead by 2PM. Behind for the morning, and left end of the flightline (crowd perspective) around noon, but after lunch it's right in your face, about 60 degrees up.

I don't know about the sun, etc., but with so many East Coast shows being canceled (McGuire, Rhode Island, maybe Scranton, PA, etc), Tampa Bay Airfest is looking very good.
Andrews and Oceana are "probable", but not guaranteed, with COVID situation.
