I received their "promo" e-mail this morning. They're offering $40 off a half-day ticket and $55 off a full-day ticket.
$225 / show for either the morning or afternoon
$395 for the full day
I think the two biggest issues here are the crazy jump in ticket prices (from the traditional show format) and the luck of the draw for where you'll be parked. The last regular show had tickets as cheap as $25 if you bought them in advance. The current cost is absurd if I attend alone. Even if I bring my kids it's still over $100/person. I'm sure they looked at full capacity before the drive-in format compared to how many they could possibly cram in with the drive-in layout and did the math to break even.
I also highly dislike the "chance" of where you'll end up parked. Maybe most folks attending don't mind looking through rows of other cars and people, but my kids and I love watching the takeoffs and landings too which would only be possible with front-row parking. For the price we'd be paying I'm not willing to leave that up to chance.

Real Airshow fans like us are an extreme minority. Most are four person families who will pay that $400. COVID showed that drive in are feasible and people will pay it allowing these shows to make a buck. Even if you don’t attend another family will happily pay that $400 to do so. It’s where we are at now. Hopefully only a couple shows will adopt this.
