There's something called ear plugs, at an average airshow, the speed regulation and limit is Mach 0.95 that's slightly inching forward to Mach 1, and there's been jets that previously have been pushing that limit at times: Mach 0.97 or 0.98, but the sound barrier traditionally was broken up at high altitudes, I mean yeah it would cool and all to see it low, but dude its doubtful. And I think the military legally doesn't have to ad hear to complaints, lawsuits are different thing compared to complaints.

Tell that to those of us who heard the sonic boom at Oshkosh last year from the F-16 Demo team. While it was an accident, he touched 1.0 and there was a concussive boom from it at low level. It shook houses knocking stuff off shelves and walls. Look up the cool video of the girl getting herself pushed sideways sitting in a B-25 cockpit at Oshkosh. While it was loud, to me it wasn’t much louder than a normal pyro boom. Trust me, I was in the pyro field when this happened and we were moving our wall of fire and we all thought we were dead. I think the concussive waves is what made it feel louder because you felt the “thump”.
I watched the video, but it didn't look as dramatic as people have stated previously, yes that was an accident and obviously it was going to do some damage, but from my perspective, I mean yeah it was mistake, but it only did little damage I can still see all the windows were intact, but he was touching Mach 1.0 as you mentioned, but either way that's OSH, different story, Edwards will probably be up high anyways, but you all know fairly by now there going be setting off more than just one boom (Surpassing the sound barrier) at ED, there's gonna be some back and forth movements caused by the boom. I mean dude its the sound barrier being broken, being up high kind of makes the circumstances slightly different.

I see they still ave the MiG 29 on this calendar. Do we have an update? I know it’s been back and forth.

Most likely, yes, but concurrently the PAO should be releasing more statements on upcoming details of show to those who have been approved for the "Enhanced Photo Pass" of which I and most other photogs have been approved of, and will most likely at some point next week (the show is only 1 week away) receive an email answering those questions. Overall, I'll write that information down here when it becomes available.

Any of you who have obtained the "Enhanced Photo Pass" check email, PAO sent out an email earlier this morning, read thoroughly, however, no confirmations on performers whatsoever (Ex: Polaris Dawn Mig-29) that will likely be determined later on. However the schedule of events will follow as below.

0830 - Gates open to the public

1130 - Airshow begins with the sonic boom

1430 - USAF Thunderbirds

1530 - Airshow Ends'

1600 - Gates Close

The schedule is the same for both days, if you have a the "Enhanced Photo Pass", our entry time will slightly be different.

The event also has its own app you can download for free: Air Show App: https://www.edwards.af.mil/Mobile-App

Well it was SUPER great to see it at Oshkosh. Unfortunate for those who haven’t seen it.
