Tomorrow morning, new announcement!
Based on the colors in the pic I’m assuming it’s the Blue Angels. If so this show is a must attend

^That's a generic royalty free clipart. It's what is in the text that was the clue.

The Blue Angels won't be that far away though and it is possible they may make an appearance on Sunday or Monday afternoon depending on when they depart Traverse City. But, that is something we can't put on the schedule and won't know until literally a day or two before.

Question for Bretten.....Is the full lineup scheduled to fly on Monday? Looks like the Tbirds only have July 2-3 on their schedule.

Thunderbirds and all demos will be performing on Monday as well. Our air show will run Saturday through Monday with all acts. Twilight & Night Air Show plus a teaser show will be on Friday night. Awaiting to see if any of the TAC Demos will be flying on Friday or not.

All acts will be flying each day Saturday through Monday unless we receive a flyover of some sort, which is still possible. Those would end up being one day only per usual.

Awaiting aircraft for Heritage and Legacy Flights.

Thanks for the clarification. We will be in TC for the weekend, but are planning to drive down and catch the full show in BC on Monday. That's A LOT of demos for us to see in three days....can't wait!

A few updates as we draw closer:

First, new website! We will be going with https://fieldofflight.com/ as our main domain now. We still will have bcballoons but that will redirect to the new site soon. Feel free to use either one.

Our Air Show days will be Saturday (July 2nd) through Monday (July 4th). All acts will perform each day. Friday will be an air show day but it won't be the full show. Some acts will rehearse earlier in the day and then we'll have a teaser air show that late afternoon. Then, of course, we'll have the Twilight & Night Air Show which will prove to be epic once again this year.

Other event highlights this year:
-Hot-Air Balloon Launches (or fly-ins) will occur daily June 30th - July 4th (weather permitting). June 30th is when the evening launches begin while the morning launches begin on July 1st. Our event grounds are not open for the morning launches but the balloons can be seen pretty much all over the place during the mornings.
-Great Lakes Timber Show will be performing multiple times daily. This hilarious and fun family friendly show features chainsaw carving, cross-cut sawing, axe-throwing, log rolling and more!
-We will have TWO Fireworks Displays this year. These will take place the night of Saturday, July 2nd and Monday, July 4th.
-We will also have two Hot-Air Balloon Illumes presented by KALSEE Credit Union...the evening of June 30th and the evening of July 3rd.
-Skerbeck Carnival will be open daily with numerous rides. Tickets should be purchased ahead of time at: https://www.skerbeck.com/events/249 This avoids needing to pay in cash. (Carnival opening times will be posted below)
-We have an incredible lineup of vendors (food, novelty, crafts) this year. They will all be open daily.
-We'll kick everything off with Kids Day on June 30th featuring fun activities and giveaways for kids.
-The Battle Creek Half-Marathon & 5k will take place on the morning of July 2nd.

We will also have nightly concerts. Our Field of Rock Concert lineup (presented by FireKeepers Casino) is as follows:
-June 30th - Tony Fields & Doug Decker
-July 1st - The RockShow Journey Tribute Band
-July 2nd - Sam Luna
-July 2nd - The Megan Rae Band
-July 3rd - The Jake Kershaw Band
-July 4th - US Air National Guard Band of the Midwest
-July 4th - Great Scott!

Hours and Pricing for this year are as follows:
-Admission is FREE on June 30th. Otherwise it is $13.00 per person July 1st through the 4th.
-Parking is $10.00 per vehicle on June 30th and $5.00 July 1st through the 4th. New this year, we will have bike racks near both entrances so cyclists can ride to the event. Cost will be $5.00 per bike.

Parking & Grounds will open at 4 PM on June 30th. Carnival will open at 5 PM.
-Opening will occur at 2:30 PM on July 1st, with the Carnival opening at 3:30 PM.
-Parking & Grounds will open at 9:30 AM on July 2nd, 3rd & 4th with the Carnival opening at 11 AM.

Now the really important part that everyone here cares about more than anything. The air show lineup. Friday's show will feature a good portion of our civilian acts. Our twilight air show will then feature some more of our award winning pilots as the sun sets.

Our Night Air Show will feature the following:
-Erik Edgren (maybe Twilight)
-Ken Rieder/Redline Airshows
-Misty Blues Night Jump
-Bob Carlton "Fire & Lights"
-Matt Younkin "Magic by Moonlight"
-Nathan Hammond "GhostWriter" Night Show
-SHOCKWAVE Jet Truck
-Firewalkers International Pyro

Our day shows July 2nd through the 4th will feature:
-United States Air Force Thunderbirds
-United States Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demo Team
-United States Navy F-35C Lightning II Demo Team
-United States Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet RHINO Demo Team
-Misty Blues All-Woman Skydiving Team
-Phillips 66 Aerostars
-Award Winning Rob Holland Airshows in the MXS
-Bill Stein in the Zivko Edge 540
-Matt Younkin in the Twin Beech 18
-Bob Carlton "Vertigo Airshows" in the Jet Super Salto Sailplane
-Nathan Hammond "GhostWriter Airshows" in the Super Chipmunk (plus Skywriting)
-Kyle Franklin's Flying Circus Comedy Act
-Redline Airshows featuring Ken Rieder in the Vans RV-8
-Erik Edgren in the Clipped Wing Taylorcraft
-Chris Darnell in the SHOCKWAVE JET TRUCK
-Pyro by Rick Myers and Firewalkers International Pyro
-Announcer: Phil Dacy

Still awaiting to hear if and what will take part in the Heritage & Legacy Flights. Not ruling out the possibility of a flyover on one of the days too.

After an extremely successful 2021, we cannot wait to see what 2022 will bring.

Today's show is pretty much non-stop military action. Just burner after burner after burner!
