Now it's the turn of the Nightfire pyro display teams to be announced.

First up, Airborne Pyrotechnics (x2 Grob 109b). They will also perform a standard daytime display on Friday and Saturday.

More confirmations:

Auster AOP.6 (Thursday)
Pitts S1-S - the debut of a brand new display pilot, albeit in a slightly familiar paint scheme (Thursday-Saturday)
Westland Wasp (Friday-Saturday)

Standing in for the Red Arrows on Saturday will be a very special act indeed, not seen since 2014, which will be announced soon.

That is a nice surprise addition. Every time I think "surely that must be all the good stuff now?" they pull another rabbit out the hat. Saturday's headline act will hopefully be revealed this weekend.

Hotel sorted, trains booked. I'd be grinding my teeth a bit if I had to choose just one day, but MAF has always had an unusually high number of multi-day attendees so for once I'm really buying into this slowly-evolving display line up, with every day being a bit different. And it's great to see they've exceeded the advertised 1hr Thursday flying display, booking at least 3hrs worth of acts! This is going to be such an utterly wonderful four days at a show that is, once again, getting all the important things right.

Red Arrows are now displaying all three days.

Not sure what this means for the alternative Saturday only headliner. Maybe it'll be cancelled or added to both the Friday and Saturday line ups. A substantial amount of work has probably gone into it already, it'd be a shame to lose it. The Saturday-only Vampire is still listed on their website.

The Pitts previously advertised as displaying all three days will be newbie airshow pilot Iain Smith of GB Air Displays, in his first airshow season. He flies a Union flag-schemed Pitts S-1E.

The Vampire, Auster and Wasp are all now displaying across all three days. The solo Jet Provost has been removed from the line up, which is now complete. The planned Saturday headliner will not take place due to the Reds displaying all 3 days.
