Well Matt, I tried hard to go as well.

Unfortunately, I got tasked to revise a work project (due to new information) and there just isn't time left after a conference call, multiple e-mails, and a revised draft. I was also going to try out a new (previously owner) camera.

I am exhausted and frustrated. And not in Peru.

I'm hoping for better weather in Fort Wayne in a few weeks.

Went today. Weather was perfect aside from just being quite windy. Great flights of the C-47 (2), B-25 and B-17. 5 TBMs toward the end were the highlight. A T-33 had some nice passes. Nice little airshow for free allowing close access to the warbirds.

Forecast for today looks somewhat promising until 2 p.m., so I'm going to chance it. Hoping that doesn't change over the course of the next three hours as I drive over and that we can see some flying today. If you see someone in a Western Michigan hat, that's me, feel free to say hi.

Looks like rain is starting to fill in. I've been watching the radar in case I wanted to make the 1.5 hour trip again. Small chance the rain is moved out by afternoon.

Yeah, I was there an hour before it got called. The radar was totally clear to the west of Peru when I left at 7. Oh well. Going to the Museum of Science & Industry on the way home, so it will still be a good day.

Wow! Those C-47 formation flybys were certainly special! You don't get to see that often.
