How are opportunities for photographing outside the base during the exercise?

Based upon what I've gleaned form the internet, results should be good. Anybody with experience able to offer suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

srd

There are decent options all around the base regardless of sun position or runway in use. Spotted there on a random day last June with no issues. May be different when the show/exercise is on but it's a relaxed airport/town so I would think you'd be ok. Good luck.

F-5 departing south from the east side of the airport.

Always wanted to go to Sentry Eagle, but it is really in the middle of nowhere.

Hard to attend for out-of-towners.

This year, the wing has partnered with Klamath County Fairgrounds and Basin Transit Service to provide bus shuttles between the fairgrounds and the base every half hour. Cars may park off Arthur Street behind Hanscom’s Bowling Alley. Buses are scheduled to begin running at 8:30 a.m. with the last bus leaving Kingsley Field at 3:30 p.m.
