Evening guys. With The girls Can Fly Too Event approaching, it is time to get excited for its 10th anniversary, and what a lineup they have. For those fighters, really hoping that they can all make it, but even if only Hornets and Growlers make it, that would still be nice to have some fighters alongside all of those heavies. I look forward to your photos from the event. The ramp at YXX will look really nice this year.

Nothing about bases, but the B-52 is no longer attending. Still a solid lineup though. A-10's are tentative.

First of all, thank you for sharing the details about participation this year. I am out of the loop when it comes to attendance for this event so it's great to see someone provide inside info.

This event is definitely growing in size and hopefully continues to be a staple in our local community. Ground displays in the past years in terms of aircraft attendance have outdone the airshow in my opinion but they are two completely different events so I'll leave it at that.

The event is much more than just a display of aircraft though and I'm very much looking forward to meeting the many VIPs that will be in attendance.

Here's a link with more info on the actual event: https://www.girlsfly2.ca/events.html

Wow, that is really shocking. I feel so bad for everyone involved and all the air crews who committed to fly in.

Here is the statement

Absolute bull crap.

Can’t imagine how much planning and resources have gone into shaping an event of this nature. I hope the troubles this will cause all the people involved doesn’t stop them from continuing to host future events. I’m sure this is going to be a huge inconvenience to many and we can thank Transport Canada for that.

Well there’s always two sides to every story. Looks like this event could have gone on but organizers choose to take a different route. Seems kind of ridiculous.

“Liu said the Girls Fly Too event could still have taken place without the SFOC; only the flights would not be permitted.”
