Last three Slovakian UH-60Ms delivered

TA3.com reports about the delivery of the last three UH-60M Black Hawks for the Vzdušné sily Ozbrojených sil Slovenskej Republiky (SAF, Slovak Air Force) on 11 January 2020 (serials 7445, 7446 and 7447).

With this delivery, all Slovak Black Hawks have been delivered to the Vrtulnikové kridlo, 1. Vrtul’niková letka, based at Presov air base (Slovakia).

In 2014, the SAF decided to buy nine UH-60M Black Hawks to replace its ageing Soviet Mi-17s. This USD 261 million contract also includes two years of logistic support, pilot and technical personnel training, and delivery to Slovakia. The first two multi-purpose helicopters were delivered in august 2017 (serials 7639 and 7640), followed by another two in July 2018 (serials 7641 and 7642) and another two in August 2019 (serials 7448 and 7449).

Scramble Magazine assesses that the latest trio arrived at Bremerhaven (Germany) by ship. From there these were flown to the Slovak Republic, as pictures were taken at Caslav Air Base (Czechia). A similar delivery flight from Bremerhaven was seen in August 2019.
