44 years ago today:
Has it really been 44 years already?! It was #OTD in 1977 that the orbiter test vehicle ENTERPRISE (OV-101) took its first flight mated to a specially modified Boeing 747-123 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. The first captive flight took just over two hours and reached a top speed of 287mph. Did you ever get the chance to see a shuttle flying on the SCA?
