My photo album is now on line and I have to admit to being quite lucky when it came to the crossovers. I had watched a video of their 2019 performance at RIAT trying to get a feel for the routing & to know which plane to pan with on the crossovers. Unfortunately the video wasn't clear enough to see which plane was closest to the camera so I just guessed which one to follow. Also note that a lot of the flying is well away from the spectators so atmospheric haze plus airborne smoke softens some images. Also note I'm simply a part of the spectator area which works just fine for me. I do not buy a pit pass or whatever they call it to get better photos. I arrive early enough to get in when the gates open & I immediately head to the fence line where I shoot from.

The Red Arrows flyby in NYC this morning looked great with the F35s and F22s tucked right up behind the Reds and the Thunderbird delta leading the way. Hopefully I'll find a good video to share.

Some details about the Reds flying over Niagara Falls were announced today also:
Rare Opportunity: On August 28th, 2019 the Royal Air Force Red Arrows will be conducting low altitude flight demonstration operation within Class F Special Use Restricted Airspace, CYR 518, Niagara Falls, Ontario (CYR 518).
The operation will consist of ten RAF Hawk T1 type aircraft operating between 1,000 ASL and 2,500 feet ASL between 0945 and 1215 local weather permitting. Best viewing will be on Goat Island.

In case anyone is curious, these are the tweaks that the Red Arrows have made to their routine in the USA. In Gatineau, they appeared to fly their standard routine as they would in the UK.

Tornado is usually flown directed at crowd centre before then turning left through 90 degrees and continuing for a further quarter-minute as they fly directly away from crowd centre, with white smoke only. In the US, it is being flown initially parallel to the crowd line and ceasing almost immediately after a more subtle left turn is initiated at show centre.

The Goose, like Tornado, is usually flown with the main formation aiming directly at show centre before turning right through 90 degrees and climbing away from show centre. It is now being flown down the display line, followed by a smaller right turn at show centre.

Python has been replaced with the Slalom in the Full and Rolling shows (good decision, I think - it's a much more unique move), which usually would only be flown in the Flat show, when the cloud base is too low for Python.

The Gypo Break has been simplified hugely in the US. Normally, the four jets point at show centre and two aircraft barrel roll around the remaining two, who then aileron roll, before the break. All the rolling has now been cut, just leaving the break itself.

The Spaghetti Break (9-ship vertical break to land) has been allowed to make an appearence in Gatineau, I see. It's rarely seen in the UK as they never fly it when there's a crowd at the airport, because the nature of the manoeuvre would almost certainly require any crowd to be overflown.

Very interesting, and a little disappointing that it has been tweaked that much. I'm surprised there is a difference in Canada vs the US. The modifications make sense as overflying the crowd is not a big deal here but pointing at them is.
