Attention airshow fans. The Blue Angels Homecoming will be Matt Chapman's final airshow as he will be retiring after 30 plus years of airshow aerobatics. His performance is something you won't wanna miss. Here's a look at what you can expect from his performance.

Weather was cloudy, dark and cold on Friday, but with a high ceiling, so everything flew a full show. I had to blow a day's pay (well, not quite, but it felt like it!) and get a hoodie sweatshirt because it was colder than I expected!
There seemed to be some sound issues on Friday, with guest narrators almost inaudible, but that seemed to have been fixed for Saturday. I would like to have known what was going on for the Twin Tigers night show, though. Visually incredible with Tron-like lights on the airplane, a figure on the ramp in a light suit, and fire pots shooting flames into the sky, but no clue what the story line was...

Friday's light was bad for photography, just a bit dim, and Saturday's humidity was low enough we had very little vapor, alhough the F-35's pull-up from his .95-Mach pass was a notable exception.

There was no #6 with the Blues, and no reason given. Speaking with photographers around me, #6 was also absent at last week's Thunder over South Georgia. #5 did THREE sneaks, his normal one after the Echelon Roll, but he did #6's sneak from behind after the diamond's Double Farvle, and later he had a high-speed "photo pass" unannounced by the narrator, so I'd call it a sneak.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing!
I'll just add one of the nifty vapor cone on the F-35C on Saturday.
