2020 Jet Team Schedules Next Week!

Post by RyanS » Wed Dec 04, 2019 6:44 pm

The jet team/military performer schedules will drop at ICAS on Tuesday. Although the preliminary schedules for the Blues and Thunderbirds are known (and take some of the fun out of it) there are always some changes to shows and dates. Plus, we'll get schedules for the single ship demo teams and a look at preliminary 2021 dates.

Stay tuned here on the forums, our blog, and our airshow calendar page for the schedules as soon as they're released!

What do you hope to see on the schedules next week?

I’m hoping to see a lot of military support for EAA Airventure. Hopefully it’s confirmed that the navy F-35 demo is confirmed for next year. With the snowbirds Going to Oshkosh getting the F-22 Demo and the Navy F-35 demo would mean full demos for them plus maybe something from the marines.

Sounds like I won't be accomplishing much in the office Tuesday afternoon :D

I have a hunch that Selfridge will end up with a jet team and I'd love to see a F-35 demo somewhere this year as it's the only one I haven't seen yet.

Other than that, I'm just looking forward to seeing dates finalized and I'm ready to lock in plans for next summer!

Hoping Oceana can get a hold of the USN F-35 Demo (if it’s confirmed), A-10, and Snowbirds.

Also, in 2021, the Blues at Oshkosh please (Hopefully with Super Hornets

Hoping the F-35A Lightning II Demo can come to Florida/Georgia area.

I looked under the 2020 performers on the ICAS site and it list the Navy F-35C Demo. So pretty positive the demo team is coming in 2020.

I hope Super Hornet demos pick back up next year. I haven't actually seen one in person since 2016. The squadrons have been prioritizing training and operational requirements over air shows, but the Navy recently announced that they have achieved higher Super Hornet readiness than expected this year. With more aircraft availability, maybe they will be able to better balance air shows with their mission requirements.

ICAS has jumped the gun on announcements in the past, so an F-35C Demo Team reveal would not be surprising. Although, I hope the USMC will put their few F-35C's on display as well. I have guesses on which ACC demo teams will be coming to local air shows, but I'll just wait and see. Oh, and more RCAF representation in the US, please!

This is gonna be a long week :geek:

If Fort Lauderdale can get the F-35A, that'll be awesome but I'm also hoping for the Harrier, A-10C and CF-18 as well. If not, then hopefully Miami Beach can get them and the F-35C. Should Wings Over Homestead occur, really hoping for the F-16 Viper. I got my fingers crossed that the Blue Angels bring the Super Hornets to Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach in 2021.

Biggest hopes are as follows:

-Navy F-35C demo team and PLEASE bring back Super Hornet TAC Demos, my FAVORITE demo! Even if I don't get to see the F-35C demo, the more teams there are the more chances of seeing a solo team lined up with the Thunderbirds since that is a rarity with the limited Super Hornet schedule.

-ACC, F-22 west coast shows! The CA shows were limited (if any??..) for the Raptor this year. Bring her back over!

-Marines, as always it would be cool to see more than a couple Harrier and Osprey demos on the schedule.

Looking forward to a VERY good airshow year across the country!

Looks like the F-22 Demo Team is going to post their schedule on their facebook page at Noon EST. That makes it a lot easier for us then trying to get a quick glance during a live video feed!
