Issued on the Airshow's website.
COVID-19 Update
NAS Oceana is currently considering a range of options regarding the annual air show scheduled for September 19-20. Each of these options take into account the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, Navy and State of Virginia policies in place, and most importantly the health and safety of the community, our partners, and our Navy personnel. Certainly, the COVID-19 environment presents significant challenges for the planning of events in the future. We will know much more as the situation evolves and will likely be making a decision on the best way forward in the next few weeks. We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our valued fans, partners, and sponsors.

No website update since the post last month, but yesterday the Rhino Demo Team added the event on Facebook. Could be an indication that the show is still happening. We'll see.

Doesn't look promising for the NAS Oceana Airshow as the Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend which was due to take place the weekend after NAS Oceana had just cancelled.
Neptune Festival Announces Cancellation of 2020 Boardwalk Weekend
Treasured Virginia Beach Tradition Cancelled for the First Time in its 47-Year History

July 8th, 2020 - Virginia Beach

The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival has been a treasured Virginia Beach tradition for decades. With a mission to “Celebrate Beach Life,” the 47-year-old private, non-profit organization produces over 40 events annually, which bring over 400,000 visitors and residents to Virginia Beach. It generates over $20 million in economic impact and contributes to the charitable, educational and recreational development of Hampton Roads. On Wednesday, July 8th, the Neptune Festival announced, for the first time in its history, it will be cancelling the Annual Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend previously scheduled for September 25-27, 2020.
Might as well just give up on hoping to do some airshows before the end of the year and focus on next year.

Oceana officially cancelled. Planning a virtual event.
Air Show friends and fans,
We regret to inform you that the 2020 NAS Oceana Air Show is canceled due to public health risks associated with COVID-19. Live stream was pretty good on Saturday.

F-22 did not land. It staged directly from Langley.

Nice shots of Osprey and E-2.

Only 2 Super Hornets for Air Power Demo.

Finale was the Super Hornet Demo.

All 4 hours of show here courtesy of LiveAirShowTV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-r-WdJTrYc

Anybody try to see the show from outside the base? I heard security was very tight.
