It should be noted that while I did attend the Saturday show as well, the Friday show was the only time I got to film the entire airshow from start to finish.

As a special treat by the personal at NAS Pensacola, the National Naval Aviation Museum was opened to the public during the airshow, and I took the opportunity on Saturday to visit the museum. It was in my opinion one of the best aviation museums I've ever been to.

Stay tuned during the next several days for some of my photos from the visit to the museum as well as my videos of the acts that I was able to film on Saturday once I go through all of my photos and edit my videos.

I agree that the museum at Pensacola NAS is one of the best out there. So many types of aircraft, from such a wide period, and not just aircraft, but cutaway engines as well. many times the engine cutaways are adjacent to the aircraft that flew the engine, and you can handle, touch, and rotate many of those engines. Watching the valves in a WWI radial is more fascinating than you'd expect! The bus tour of the back lot is worth doing, as well, as you can't walk back there, so those aircraft are not available for viewing otherwise.

One of those back-lot aircraft is special to me because my Dad spent his time in the navy as an avionics technician in a squadron of them: the AJ-2 Savage. Dad actually worked on the AJ-1, nearly identical, but the museum has an AJ-2, and it is the last surviving Savage in the world. The Savage is significant in being the Navy's first platform able to deliver atomic weapons.
