Latest additions in the form a C-17 Globemaster III demonstration from the C-17 East Coast Demo Team, based in JB Charleston, South Carolina and a 3-ship P-51 Mustang display from Dan Friedkin, Ed Shipley and Steve Hinton. Also, the USAF Heritage Flight at Dyess has been upgraded from a two-ship to a three-ship with the addition of an F-5 Tiger II!

Looks like the Heritage Flight at Dyess has reverted back to a two-ship and will feature the F-22 and F-5.

An FYI to anyone who’s going and planning on taking their camera. The base is not allowing anyone with lenses longer than 200mm into the Airshow.

All it says in that screenshot is "long-lensed cameras" so I have no idea where you got "lenses longer than 200mm" from. In fact, there's nowhere on the website that specifically states a lens size. This could seriously be open for interpretation and I'm sure every attorney on the planet would agree.Nate_Burrows wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 9:59 pm An FYI to anyone who’s going and planning on taking their camera. Base PAO has told many photographers who’ve emailed them about the issue that lenses larger than 200mm won’t be allowed. Base security issue.passedgas46 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 11:41 pmAll it says in that screenshot is "long-lensed cameras" so I have no idea where you got "lenses longer than 200mm" from. Probably just security flexing their proverbial muscles. I've been to a few military shows over the past 35+ years where "big cameras" were not allowed in because they "looked like weapons." This was before cell phones had cameras...Nate_Burrows wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 11:59 pm

Guys,
This flares up from time to time with military venues. We've all seen it for the past 2 decades.
I'm working with Dyess to get a clarification on this and will advise once I get some information from their airshow director and security forces lead for the show.
