I haven't received an email yet either. This could get interesting.

They replied on FB that old pass can still be used if new pass is not received.

Anybody going to show this weekend: could you get me an F-22 Demo Team cap, coin, patches and XL shirt?

PM if interested. Will pay generously for any items you sell to me. Thanks.

Just got here. I will say that the parking situation was well managed as long as you had your ticket. I'm sure some people were out of the loop and had a hard time. They did have 3 lanes open at the gate which got choked into one...I do wish that they had a better way to mitigate that. The walking distance was a little long as well, but I still got parked on into the display area on time. No complaints really.

Ready for a great show!

Update: set up at the front right, and there is a ton of open space right on the fence.

A CH-47 is the jump aircraft

For those curious, traffic is taking off left to right.

Update2: the Rhino did the full aerobatic display!

Fantastic show. The vapor was amazing all day. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pics. The jets seemed like they were flying much closer to the crowd that at other shows. Some of the sneaks flew right over me.

The Mustangs flew first, so anyone coming tomorrow for that needs to get here early.

Warbird Thunder was really cool to see. I realized that Chris solo routine is essentially the same but without a wingman.

As I mentioned, the first surprise of the day was the VFA-106 full aerobatic display. I'm sure they are one of the busiest squadron in the fleet, but I'm glad things got sorted out. The demo pilots were Peaches and Spud.

However, the F-35A and F-22A stole the show (as they should have) The F-35 flew first, and then the F-22 took off mid high alpha pass. Beo came back over for the opposing rolls, and then they both simultaneously rejoined with the Mustang. Overwhelmed doesn't describe how I felt trying to record all of that. And, of course, the Raptor killed its home show!

The Thunderbirds ended their show with a rare missing man pass in honor of late Col. Zachary Hall, who the Raptor demo team also paid tribute to. You could hear the emotion in everyone's voices when describing the life he lived. I'm sure his loss is felt deeply by this community.

Lastly, I want to echo the point I made earlier. Far right of the crowd, there is a great place up front that nobody seemed to find. Even late in the show, there was space right against the fence. Best view for the Air Force demo teams. Highly recommended for anyone going tomorrow.

First time at Langley. Had front row reserved seats. Great weather and not too hot. Personal favorite was the F-22 Raptor demonstration. Bit of a long walk from the on-base parking areas but not too terrible.

Hey, I messaged you about the F-22 Demo Team merch but didn’t hear back. I can still do that for you but I’d like to get it early before the line gets long. Let me know.
