Polaris Dawn Demonstration Team Training For Future Airshows

The Polaris Dawn demonstration team came to the Tyler Historic Aviation Museum to train for those shows, and they brought unusual aircraft with them.

“Polaris brought in eight jets for this weekend, we have four L39s plus some spares, two alpha jets and a Russian MIG-29 Fulcrum which is I think the only civilian owned MIG-29 in the world,” said program examiner Randy Ball.

Their first demonstration will be next weekend at the 2022 Roar by the Show Air and Space Expo along the South Padre Island Beachfront, TX.

Polaris Dawn will be demonstrating:

1) Single ship MiG-29UB Aerobatic Demonstration
2) 2-ship Alpha Jet Formation Demonstration
3) L-39C Albatross Formation Demonstration

This is great news! Would love to see these aircraft regularly featured at airshows in the coming years.

Any further news on this? I assume with Polaris Dawn slated for September that there probably won't be any opportunities this summer. Still hopeful for future appearances and demonstrations.
