While viewers can watch for free along the beach in Atlantic City an surrounding towns, a new ticket option is available this year to get spectators closer to the action.

Tickets for The Fly Zone are $25 for those 13 and older and $15 for children 6 to 12. Kids 5 and under are free. Prices for the practice day are $5 less. People who buy tickets to the fenced-in “Sky Zone” will have access to portable bathroom as well food/beverage vendors.

Spectators in The Fly Zone can bring their own chairs, blankets/towels and umbrellas into this area, though tents and cabanas are not allowed. There will be no chair rentals available.

I can't believe the AC Chamber of Commerce is allowing the charging for beach space.

The AC show is very crowded. Charging for beach space works at smaller shows, but not at a large event like AC.

I guess the free areas will be very crowded. Not that AC has a lot of beach area to begin with.

Looks like most of the area to the right of the pier will not be free. That is the area that is usually the most crowded.

And now they even charge for practice day?? We certainly are living in an interesting time.

I guess I spoke too soon!

HOWEVER, if I know AC, and I certainly do, there is still a MASSIVE chunk of beachfront that is still free and typically near where show center is. The area where "The Fly Zone" is located covers an area where you miss half the airshow the closer you are to Caesars. The "VIP Hospitality" section is typically where our family has set up year after year but if you keep going down the Boardwalk the view is still good up until you reach the Tropicana.

You still have a lot of beachfront from Caesars to, say, Hard Rock and to Ocean (the casino) but you miss more than half the show by being there.

It'd be nice to get some clarification on this. I, for one, am going to be down there for nearly a full week, including before and after the airshow.

I’m usually seated in “The Fly Zone” and for me it’s a good view, the planes dive right above and bank and it’s great for pictures. But it’s far and you can’t see the coast guard demo very well. Overall it’s a pretty good spot in my opinion.

I feel like the VIP Section is the Corporate Hospitality right?

It appears within the past week the Schultz Airshows Facebook Event Page was just updated to reflect Mark Meredith and the B-25 doing flybys. They must have just been recently confirmed rather than a verbal.

As for military flybys... hopefully the 177th is still doing their flyover, but other than that, there isn't a whole lot of anything.
