I had a lot of fun both days, the real treat for me was the Tora demonstration, lots of action and I absolutely loved the amount of Pyrotechnics that were incorporated.
I still feel spoiled by Aviation Nation last November, not that I expected this show to ‘beat’ it, but I really missed having at least one tac demo.
I’ve gone to every show JBLM has hosted since 2008 since I live so close.
2008 was memorable in the fact they had an F4 demo, A10 demo, Super Hornet demo, F16 demo, F86 Saber, and of course the Thunderbirds. There was also a memorable heritage flight with the F4, an A10, F16, and F86.
2010 was a bit of a downgrade due to federal budget sequestration, but at least the show occurred. The Patriot Jet Team was the headlining act since the Thunderbirds were grounded for the season.
2012 was memorable since a B-1B was there from Dyess and performed all the days, there was a B2 and B52 flybys on Saturday, the Patriot Jet Team also there, and this time had an additional L39 for a six-ship demonstration. Viper West was present along with the Thunderbirds for a fantastic show.
2016 had an F/A-18 demo along with the Thunderbirds.
2023 had the Thunderbirds and Tora Tora Tora.
I hate to sound ungrateful by any means, but for comparisons to past shows this was one of the weaker ones for number of statics and aerial acts (if you’re primarily into modern fighters). Tora like I said was a highlight, I would even argue I enjoyed them more than the Thunderbirds.

Didn't get many good photos but here are a few I thought were interesting, mostly due to having Rainier in the background.

Few more. Not sure if anyone else noticed the Alaska C-17 to the north of the statics.
