Cheaper prices due to a new parking lot. These are actually fairly palatable and I would have probably gone at these prices. Unfortunately, I've already made other plans. Hope this helps if anyone is still considering attending.

Somewhat better, but now the weather is not looking good that weekend...

I went, though was offsite for the obvious reasons. Honestly, considering the grounds layout (both regarding spectators and room for statics) and the fact that I'd seen 90% of the performers before, I had a blast offsite. Weather was not amazing on Saturday, but who can control that (and Sunday, from what I heard, was a complete wash). I ended up watching the show from the road that runs alongside the west edge of the airfield. Most of the pics were from a spot about a quarter mile north of the runway centerline, though the Blue Angels shots are obviously in line with the runway. F-16 demo and F-100 staged from Indy Int'l.

Would I go again? Offsite, absolutely. Lots of parking, lots of space, great vantage points. They'd have to a heck of a time convincing me to pay even just the standard admission prices to attend though.

I had a friend who watched the Friday practice show from the parking lot, as previous poster said for obvious reasons. http://www.warbirdsandairshows.com/Airs ... 202023.htm

Damn I would have gone if I knew offsite spots were available. I was not going to pay that parking price for one person driving from CLE.

I actually planned on being on the east side of the airfield, since I assumed that all the commercial parking lots would be roped off on the west side but the dirt patches next to farm fields would be open. Exact opposite turned out to be true, there was a cop parked exactly where I had planned to post up but not a soul in the parking lots (initially). Turned out for the best I think, the overcast reduced any backlighting issues I would have experienced on the west side.

Why couldn't they stage the F-16 and F-100 right there?

Many people who bought tix for Sunday only to have the show cancelled were livid. Ranting on the airshow's FB page. Down hundreds $$$.

Runway is too short at Indy Regional. The F-16 requires at least 7,000 feet. F-100 likes a longer runway too
