Rumors have been swirling for a while that someone was working to buy Moonbeam and bring her home to the US to be flown as a tribute to Vlado. WHF announced today that it is not only true, it is a done deal! The aircraft is being reassembled in Wisconsin.

Part of the rumor is that they bought and then traded an F-86 Sabre to get Moonbeam, but no word on that at all.
The loss of Vlado is still shocking, and I have many fond memories with both him and Moonbeam. I don't think I'll be the only one to feel a little emotional when I see it again.

Saw this on NBC news tonight. Talking about Moonbeam coming home, and honouring the late great Vlado Lenoch. Very nice piece.

Thanks Dan. We sent NBC some of our footage; the takeoff we got credited for but also the cockpit footage of Vlado flying in Cleveland. It was an honor to help pay tribute to him!Dan Gagnon wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 12:22 am Saw this on NBC news tonight. Talking about Moonbeam coming home, and honouring the late great Vlado Lenoch.
