Because of construction needed to expand its hangars for the new KC-46 Pegasus tanker aircraft coming to MacDill Air Force Base, there won’t be another AirFest until 2027 at the earliest, said Lt. Laura Anderson, a public affairs officer for MacDill.

Debating on going both days, 100% going Saturday for the B1!

Beautiful day at MacDill AFB! We got in line to get in the MacDill Ave gate at about 7:30 am and were parked and going through security at 8:10 or so. A good mix of statics. Flying started at noon and we left just before the Thunderbirds at about 3 pm. We were trying to beat traffic and minimize the slowdowns on I-4 and other central Florida roads (spoiler: it didn't work. Traffic sucked going home).
It was our first time seeing the Warbird Thunder duo and it was pretty cool. I still love seeing and hearing the T-6/SNJ/Harvard/etc fly. We were disappointed the B-2 only did one pass, but that was better than nothing. The last time we saw the B-2 was in Melbourne, FL several years ago (2018?) and they did 3 passes.
The A-10 demo was good and MAD flew the Blacksnake jet which was great for me since I hadn't seen that jet before. Some pyro was included, but no huge wall of fire.
Pictures to come later. I'm too tired from getting up very early and doing a lot of driving today.
