I remember when this was the norm for every show! I miss East and West teams

That is a sad but fair point. Still, it's good news to see it happening these days!

As feared, the Viper Demo has removed Oshkosh from their plans. Not shocking, but definitely a roller coaster of a night

Pretty crazy night indeed. I updated the original post with the performer changes. On a side note, I decided to attend this year's show, after going back and forth on whether to do so or not. I think I made the right choice

Going to OSH is always the right choice.Dan Gagnon wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 4:02 am Pretty crazy night indeed. I updated the original post with the performer changes. Losing the F-16 but gaining the A-10 and F-35 is a real coup to me. The Shaw F-16s always put on a great show at Oshkosh, but seeing the other two demos will be a nice treat. This will probably be my only look at the F-35 this year so I'm pretty excited. I'd be very surprised if the arrival of one (or more) of the demo teams isn't incorporated into the concert flyover Monday night.
The F-35, F-22 and A-10 also provide plenty of opportunities for interesting Heritage Flight formations throughout the week. I've heard rumors of a "special" P-38 participating this year - would be cool to see one in formation with a F-35 if a Heritage qualified P-38 pilot is present. Maybe we'll get a four-ship formation with three jets involved at some point.
Looking forward to more announcements in the coming weeks. This is the time of year specific aircraft announcements pick up. I'm guessing we'll have an aircraft highlights release, the Warbirds in Review featured attendees and the preliminary airshow schedule in the next 4-6 weeks.

If it hasn’t been announced yet, or an update to what’s going to happen. Here’s the date for the airventure Webinar EAA puts on every year.

According to UPS Airlines on Instagram, they are bringing a Boeing 747-8F to Oshkosh this year!

Twilight F-22 and F-35 please!May 23, 2019 - Three U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command demonstration teams will be performing at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.
The F-35 Lightning II, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and F-22 Raptor demo teams will perform abbreviated demonstrations as part of the daily air shows during AirVenture, as well as participate in the Air Force Heritage Flight program. In addition, watch for some of these aircraft to partake in the night air shows on Wednesday and Saturday of AirVenture.
"These flights are some of my favorite things we do because not only do we honor the heritage of those men and women that served in the Air Force, but we’re also reassuring previous generations by demonstrating that our modern air power will ensure the USAF maintains its long-established air dominance well into the future," said Dennis Dunbar, EAA director of flight operations. "What other demonstration in the air show industry can be both reminiscent of our history, while simultaneously inspiring us all for what the future of air power holds?"
