That’s actually quite sad. I’m glad he came to Oshkosh last year. That radial Su-31 was a nice change of pace from Extras, edges, etc.

Is this likely to be the last time we see the AV-8B perform?

I saw the Harrier demo at MCAS Yuma in 2018, but Yuma no longer has any now.
I believe that Cherry Point has the last 2 squadrons of Harrier.

The created of their Facebook page replied to a man asking about an F-35B demo and said that unfortunately there won’t be a demo this year :(

Does anyone know why this show skews so heavily on civilian acts, whereas Yuma is more the opposite?

There were a good handful of civilian acts at Miramar the years I went.

Is there no MAGTF demo at this show? I was under the impression every major Marine base does one for their airshow.

Believe that is the second “performer to be announced” as that’s a 2 hour block. F-22, RJ, and Randy Ball won’t take that much time.

I spoke with a VMA-223 Bulldogs pilot earlier today. He said Cherry Point 2024 is the last scheduled AV-8B Harrier II Tactical Demonstration. The door wasn't closed on the possibility of additions.

Harriers are planned to be retired in late 2026. It sounded unlikely that any Harriers will be home when Cherry Point host their 2026 show.
