Part 2. The demo included the following assets: F-16 x2 Aggressors, F-16 x2, F-35 x2, F-15E x2 (one Saturday), F-22 x1, A-10 x2, HH-60 x2. The demonstration began with a simulated attack of the airfield by the two F-16 Aggressors followed by the launch of the F-22, the only aircraft to not have departed prior to the start of the display. The F-22 pulled up into the vertical at the end of the runway releasing flares as it climbed.

Part 5. While very little flares were deployed during the display on Saturday, disappointing many photographers, Sunday was a completely different story!

Though initially disappointed at what seemed a lacklustre lineup considering it was the 75th Anniversary of the USAF (still at a bit of a loss at the lack of warbirds that have been present at every other Nellis show I've attended), I still had a great time at Aviation Nation 2022 and it turned out be an amazing show nonetheless (just not really a show that celebrated the anniversary like the 50th in 1997, granted there is no way a show of that calibre would ever happen again). Anyways, on with the photos. Here are a collection from the air power demo; definitely the highlight of the show for me.
Mind giving me a summary of the 1997 show?

The show was a disappointment when held against expectations for the 75th, but it was still a very good show. I was blown away by how easy parking, security, and the shuttle busses were. The time change made for fantastic lighting on Sunday. It was a great way to close out the season.
