Dominicm's Radio-Controlled Aircraft Videos
3rd in the Eachine 400mm Micro Warbird series is out. Preceeded by the P-51 Mustang and F4U Corsair. This flies just as well. I leave it in MIDD mode. EXPERT mode is too sensitive for most fingers...and contrary to what I say in the video you can pull loops and rolls in stabilised MIDD mode. BEGINNER mode limits pitch and roll and prevents inverted flight. Durability of these models is great. The prop pops off in a bad arrival and just clicks back in place.

I haven't flown a nitro powered model in 20+ years. I had always wanted a Tiger Moth and one came out for sale so grabbed it. Powered by a Laser 100 which have a great reputation for reliability and it's British made.
Successful first flight and looking forward to getting it out again.

Superb action of this unusual heli in action at a recent big scale event I attended. Nice detail on this one and flown well by its owner.

The Westland Wasp was a small 1960s British turbine powered, shipboard anti-submarine helicopter. Produced by Westland Helicopters, it came from the same P.531 programme as the British Army Westland Scout, and was based on the earlier piston-engined Saunders-Roe Skeeter. It fulfilled the requirement of the Royal Navy for a helicopter small enough to land on the deck of a frigate and carry a useful load of two homing torpedoes.
The Wasp sunk one ship in combat, seriously damaging the ARA Santa Fe submarine in 1982 during the Falklands war.

Scale: 1:6
Shell: Available from Red Lodge Helicopters
Mechanics: Vario
Turbine: Wren 50 heli turbine running on paraffin
Many custom made framework and internals.
The HH-52 was the U.S. Coast Guard’s first turbine-powered helicopter and the first that could land in the water next to vessels or personnel in distress without using awkward floats, making it the most effective air-sea rescue helicopter of its time. The Coast Guard operated ninety-nine HH-52s between 1962 and 1989, saving 15,000 lives.

This seriously large P-47 was flown at the Stow Maries Scale RC Show by John Mason of TJD Models. It has wingspan of 122 inches, the weight is around 70 lbs and the model is powered by a DLE-170. Other engine options for this giant are the DA-200, DLE-222, MOKI 250 and 300.

The most compact way to determine the max speed of your RC whether it be surface or air. Powered off the balance plug on your lipo. Also gives pack voltage. So small and light it can practically fit in any RC.
