What Photo/Video Gear Do You Use?
What Photo/Video Gear Do You Use?
One of the most frequent questions that I get is what gear do I use. Here's what I've got right now:
Canon 7D
Canon 70D
Canon 100-400 II
Canon 15-85
Sony AX-53 camcorder
Panasonic TM-900 camcorder
What do you use?
Canon 7D
Canon 70D
Canon 100-400 II
Canon 15-85
Sony AX-53 camcorder
Panasonic TM-900 camcorder
What do you use?

Definitely a fan of the lens rental places. Have used them a few times for video equipment and some random camera equipment.
Great way to test out a piece before you drop the coin.

EF-S 55-250mm STM
Sigma 18-35mm Art

I'm gonna probably add the Sigma 150-600 to my arsenal soon, or maybe that and a 7D Mk2 if I can allocate the funds

Hi all. My name is Larry & I shoot a lot of radio control events in the Ottawa Ontario area & what few full scale events I can get to. I've gone through a bit of gear finding what works best for my less than main stream use. I've learned that you can get by with some very basic gear but you need to learn what the limitations are when you don't have a long lens option. My current set up that gets used at pretty much every event is
Canon 1D Mk 4 with a Sigma 150-600 C plus a Canon 7D Mk2 with a Canon 28-300 L IS. Late last season I reversed the body & lens combos with great results & will start this season that way.
I also use a Canon 1Ds Mk 2 for static photos with either a Sigma 12-24 or Canon 16-35 L IS f4 lens. At major events that body sometimes gets either a Canon 100-400 L IS (ver 1) lens or Canon 300 f2.8 L IS
Other gear available when needed is a Canon 24-105 L IS & the older 35-350 L which is still a very useful flight line lens.
