The final 'major' air display of the UK season was held during IWM Duxford October 'Showcase Day.' These events are new to Duxford this year and add some display flying activity to normal museum days. They are part of a long term project by the Imperial War Museum to develop Duxford's role as a centre of excellence for display flying not only increasing public exposure to the airfield's airworthy fleet of historic aircraft but also increase opportunities for new display pilots, 'airbosses' and Flying Control Committee members to develop their skills.
