Hello,
I know this year is different, but how was the viewing in the past? They say there's 14km of waterfront to watch from, but can you really see from all 14km? How many people normally attend? And if you were driving, how bad is the traffic? First time going to this Airshow.
Thanks for any info!

It's hard to say how many people attend as this has always been a part of the CNE. As for viewing, that's a great question. If they use the same showbox as the past then I really don't think there is 14 km of spots to see this show. Even in the past few years when they blocked off access to the old Ontario place it's more of a challenge to actually see this show in my opinion.

Here's a map of the show area for this year. I've personally have had good views at Marlyin Bell Park. As for the crowd size, I've always gone on Fridays to avoid the chaos lol. I also usually use public transportation (GO Train and TTC), but traffic in general in Toronto is insane.airshowguy1234 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 12:39 pm Hello,

Marilyn Bell Park is probably your best bet, show centre is where a fire boat will be anchored spaying water in the air.airshowguy1234 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 12:39 pm Hello,

Hard to say how crowded it will be since the CNE is cancelled this year.
Traffic will be bad along Lakeshore Blvd and the Gardiner Expy.
If you're into photography, you will be shooting into the sun and the action is over the lake so there's quite a bit of haze and reflection from the water.
Hope this helps.

The NOTAM for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is from 11-4. Show time for Saturday and Sunday is 12-3, so I can only assume it's the same for Friday. I would arrive at 11 just in case so you don't miss anything and if they decide to start practice at 11 instead of noon.Sam wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:55 pmDan, do you know the practice time on Friday?Dan Gagnon wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:33 pmHere's a map of the show area for this year. I marked Friday practice on my calendar a long time ago as 10am-2pm, but I can't remember the source to verify that that's correct. If anyone knows for sure, please let us know!
Dan has spoken (and 12-3, same as showtime Sat/Sun, makes more sense)
