Engine test of Avro Lancaster B.VII, NX611/G-ASXX, “Just Jane”, at East Kirkby, Lincolnshire, England, on Wednesday 14th April 2021. This was the Lancaster's second engine test of the year after its winter maintenance schedule. But the first engine test in public at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Center which had opened its doors for the first time in several months due to England's COVID restrictions. We can confirm that the TBM has been retrieved from the water. She is secured and under guard from Patrick Space Force Base security forces on the back of a trailer in preparation to bring her home in the morning.
We will provide further updates as to her condition once she has been safely brought back to the museum and fully inspected.
The Commemorative Air Force announced plans to create new CAF Units in selected cities across the country. The organization has identified four locations to focus on – Huntsville, Ala., Birmingham, Ala., Bowling Green, Ky., and Smyrna, Tenn.
