Polish Air Force Su-22 Demo Team Duo to return in 2021!
In 2019 many aviation enthusiasts were surprised to see the Polish fitter performing Solo displays instead of the well known duo role demonstrations. For unknown reasons the commanders of the 21st Tactical Air Base the home of the mighty Fitters decided to scrap the duo display after just one display in 2019 and replace it with the solo display instead. On top of that at the end of the 2019 display season both of the fitter display pilots have stood down from the role, leaving the team without any pilots, this has quickly raised the question if that's the beginning of the end for the Fitter demo team?
The good news is that's certainly not the end of the Fitter Demo Team. New demo pilots will be trained for the 2021 season with the hopes of having the duo ready for the Radom International Airshow. The new pilots will display the fitter for another 4 years up until its retirement in 2025.

The good news is that's certainly not the end of the Fitter Demo Team. The new team with the new pilots will perform their first public display in just over two weeks on the 4th of September 2021 at the Miroslawiec Air Base open day. The new pilots will display the fitter up until its planned retirement in 2025.
