That's impressive. I've seen still photos of it on one of my photography forums but that's the first video of it. Doesn't need a lot of runway to take off based on the video. I'll have to post some photos from Jet event I just attended once I get the albums on line.

World's largest radio controlled English Electric Lightning. Flown by Dave Johnson. Powered by 2 JetsMunt Merlin engines. This model was designed and built by Ted Allison. It took him 4 years to build. It has wingspan of 13 ft 8in (i.e. 4.17 metres). It's weight is 88 lbs.

This giant VC10 has a wingspan of 4.9 metres and length of 5.75 metres. Total weight is 63 kgs. The model is powered by 4 Wren Super Sport micro gas turbine engines each of which has 18 kg of thrust.

Middle Wallop is the largest grass airfield in Europe. Only 50 members in the club. I'm very fortunate to be one.

Never seen one of these before. Apparently a discontinued ASM kit. Converted to electric by its owner and well done because it flies so well. 80 inch wingspan and 20 lbs in weight so it's fairly bit even for a twin.
