Why was that on the first list anyway? Are there rumours about military displays happening?

It was apparently mis-read from a post earlier in this thread with a fan wish list of military displays we would LIKE to see in light of the USAF 75th anniversary being a theme for this year. That's all.

They have not announced details of what they have planned aside from some of the official demo teams.

Nothing official besides what we’ve already seen posted here. Typically we do get some “regulars” such as a couple F-15s, F/A-18s and A-10s that typically do some flybys before going on static display. But those aren’t confirmed, so far only the F35, EA18 and MV22 are confirmed

Per EAA YouTube page, Dean Cutshall will bring his F-100 to OSH this year, flying in afternoon airshows.
