Has anyone thought about the RAAF? I know they are gonna be up in Alaska end of July and the they use a few of the names in the riddles for call signs

I was wondering about the RAAF myself. Abby has one post with an RAAF MRTT that I thought they could've been hinting they could be coming. What callsigns do they use that are in the riddles? Also, Do you know all the other players for Red Flag: Alaska?

Did a little bit of digging, and I managed to find that the RAAF KC-30 uses Castle, and F-35's from 77 Sqn also use Odin. Probably a pipe dream, but if both are going to RF Alaska 22-3, there is a good possibility of that as well.

F-15C and CF-18 NORAD flight confirmed. A little more jet noise is always a great addition to flying events! Also looks like RCAF Bell412CF and RCAF CH-139 Jet Ranger confirmed for static.

RAAF F-35 will be part of Red Flag Alaska starting aug 12. So maybe a pit stop in Abbotsford on the way there

That would be nice. On Eielson's website the exercise is supposed to run July 28th to August 12th however RF 22-3 also had conflicting dates.

Warbirds are shaping up to be one of the best variety we’ve seen in years. SBD Dauntless added to the flying line up. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I find myself enjoying all warbird displays. Just need some Harvards/T-6s and we’re set!

Edit: looks like the Dauntless will be replacing the Spitfire.

Under three weeks to go but many announcements to come. Artemis and Poseidon are now known, will the grizzlies follow? The twilight show will hopefully be spectacular, maybe we will see the Northern Lights with Grus and Ursa Minor. Of course, it's going to be stormy that weekend with fury of Odin there will be lots of thunder and lightning, I wonder what other weather we will have? It could be hot so make sure you guys drink lots of water otherwise you might hallucinate. Anyway, sorry to cut it short but I'm taking my Mastiff's up to the Castle this weekend in my Jeep and I need to start packing.

Loving these riddles! Myself, theairshowdude, and some other friends have been having a blast with these, and we think we got a few answers for you.

Northern Lights are also known as Aurora Borealis, which points us to a CP-140 Aurora.

Ursa Minor's star at the end of its handle is Polaris, leading to my guess of a CC-150 Polaris.

Odin is also a fairly common callsign of 410 CF-18's.

Grus and Castle have us stumped for the time being, but Mastiff is used as a French Rafale callsign, fingers crossed that guess is accurate.

And last but not least, the only thing we could find for Jeep was MI KC-135's.

Good guesses by you guys. Some are very close and some are spot on. You guys know your astronomy and I'm not surprised you're having trouble with Grus. It's more of an outside the box riddle then most and honestly I wouldn't worry about it since it looks like it's about to cancel. Less then two weeks to go to the show and unfortunately a lot of uncertainty with some of the main Players left to be announced but I still have hope. Since my last riddle the Redhawks were announced replacing the Griffins. I had fun at the Castle last weekend, as did my Dogs however my Jeep broke down. I might need to find a replacement before the show. I might have one more riddle before the show but it's getting busy around here so I'll try my best. If I can't then I hope you all sit back with a Beer and enjoy the show!!
