2022 TBM Avenger Reunion & Salute to Veterans
May 20th-21st (Friday & Saturday)

Featuring:
-Gathering of TBM Avengers (list to be announced)
-AeroShell Aerobatic Team
-Mad Bomber Fireworks Productions Pyro (Saturday ONLY)
-Tunison Foundation's C-47 Skytrain "Placid Lassie"
-Warbirds Galore!

Two full air shows both Friday & Saturday PLUS a Night Air Show Friday Night featuring AeroShell Aerobatic Team and a night engine run up of the TBM Avengers being dubbed "TBM Night Time Flame Show". Concert and beer garden will also take place.

Saturday will feature the Salute to Veterans Parade and Veterans Missing Man Flight.

Rides will be available in the following aircraft:
-TBM
-B-17 "Yankee Lady" from the Yankee Air Museum (rides for sale on Thursday & Sunday only. Will be on static display Friday & Saturday)
-Army Aviation Heritage Foundation UH-1 Huey and AH-1 Cobra

Short of the airshow performers who publish a yearly schedule, we probably wont know many others till the show is a few weeks out.
Since its still a "fly-in"ish event people wont really know til the event gets closer and they think they can make it.

Just confirmed "Yankee Lady". Posted it on Facebook. Also looking for volunteers, which are needed badly.

One month until showtime! Any news on the number of TBMs expected? Teasers on other warbirds or vintage jets?

From various posts and sources, it appears CAF Missouri Wing, Tri-State Warbird Museum, Wings of the North and Lake Erie Warbirds are all participating - I'm assuming with TBMs, but I'm not sure if any of them will bring other warbirds as well.

C-47 "Placid Lassie" and TBM "She's The Boss" have already arrived. Less than three weeks until showtime!

Things are still coming together. Due to the fly-in nature of the event though, we could pretty much still see anything. We're working on getting a list together of what we do know will be present.

Another first for the event though, the Saturday show will feature pyro. Pyro will be provided by Mad Bomber Fireworks Productions.

I should also add that the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation will be giving rides. One Huey & one Cobra will be present.

Some difficulties from one of the Avengers. Everyone involved is ok and it sounds like damage was minimal (other than the engine).

We have the schedule up:

Friday, May 20
-Grounds open at 11 AM.
-Daytime airshow starts at 1:00 and ends 4:00.
-Evening Flying will take place all evening (5:30-7:30) Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will perform closer to dusk.
-TBM Avenger Night Flame Runups after Aeroshell.
-Beer garden and live music with the band “She’s a Maybe”. 6 PM to 10 PM.

Saturday, May 21
-Grounds Open at 9 AM.
-11:00 Flag Raising at Airport - T6 Flyover
-11:30 Veteran's Funeral Flag Honor walk
-12:00 Greetings and Airshow Blessing - Main Veteran's Parade
-13:00 Parachute drop with American Flag to open the airshow. Airshow will feature TBMs, Warbirds Galore…and PYRO!
-17:00 Airshow ends.

Got a little preview yesterday when I got buzzed by a TBM while cycling near Wilmington, IL yesterday (excuse the poor photo quality). Ready for next weekend! As usual, the early forecast calls for rain , but hopefully that changes.
